Ter Stegen Awaits Barcelona’s Move Amid Uncertain Future

According to @Alfremartinezz via @sport, Marc-André Ter Stegen and his representatives at Roof believe that the next step must come from FC Barcelona if the club wants him to leave — whether on loan in the upcoming winter transfer window or through a permanent transfer.

The German goalkeeper remains under contract with Barça until June 2028, earning an estimated €17 million gross per season, a figure that could rise to nearly €56 million with additional increases.

As the situation stands, all eyes are on the club’s next move in what could become one of the biggest decisions of the winter market.

Flick also suggested that once the full squad is available, the true measure of the team’s level will be clearer: “When everyone returns, then things can be measured better.” Barcelona continue to hold firm to their footballing DNA under Flick’s leadership.

Yet subsequent signings of Coutinho, Dembélé, and Griezmann, coupled with Lionel Messi’s enormous contract, plunged the club deeper into crisis. The pandemic worsened the situation, with revenues collapsing and losses soaring to an unprecedented €555 million in 2020-21.
