According to MARCA, FC Barcelona is in negotiations to organize a friendly match in Peru on December 22, 2025. The proposed opponents are either Club Universitario de Deportes or the Peruvian national team.
This initiative is part of Barcelona’s strategy to recover financial losses incurred from the canceled matches in Miami and Libya. The friendly could generate approximately 5 million euros in revenue, providing a timely financial boost before the end of the fiscal year.
However, the final decision will depend on the availability of key players and the compatibility of the event with their winter break schedule. The club’s management aims to finalize the arrangements soon to ensure logistical readiness and maximize commercial benefits.
